Tin Computer, then Emotion Machine, built infrastructure for AI characters. For its pre-seed round the company needed a strong investor deck.
The product is infrastructure for AI characters, which is abstract, crowded with jargon, and hard to picture. The deck needed to make the problem feel real and the opportunity feel obvious.
Kept the story short: who struggles, what research showed, how the product changes that, where the company goes next. Eight slides, one idea each, with the founders' own customer interviews carrying the problem. Visual metaphors, like the tangle of conversational-layer parts, show the problem instead of explaining it.
An eight-slide investor deck (16:9): narrative structure, slide design, and the visual system for diagrams and metaphors.
The deck was used in Tin Computer's pre-seed raise, which closed at nearly $2 million.
